I bought a 2001 GMC Yukon AWD Denali in March '17. Experiencing many electrical issues. If was running and driving still up until a week ago when it broke down. It's believed to be the transfer case that went but we have a huge hunch the ongoing electrical issues caused the electrical current to the Transfer case to short out while I was driving down the road. We live on a dirty road(Michigan dirt road during winter!!) Before the transfer case went I had been experience bizarre electrical issues where I'd hit a bump and my window would go up or down by itself(mind you this window hasnt worked ever since I bought the vehicle) Also my entire dashboard(Gauge Cluster) stopped working and every time I hit a bump they would work for a second when doing a weird twitchy motion. A couple times Ive gotten in the vehicle put the key in the ignition went to turn the key and NOTHING. The security light would pop on too! This is my 3rd vehicle in 2 months. My husband noticed the horn and or alarm system is unhooked. He has tested fuses within the fuse boxes and was STILL getting a current with every fuse he checked! We also noticed the engine compartment light is unhooked and there is a missing "ground wire" on the firewall directly under the engine compartment light. We do not have the $1,000's to take this vehicle to a shop. Anyone experience these same issues and or have any advice??? Please Help. Thank you!
