02 YUKON SLT Tranny Prob

Hi Guys new to the Site and new to Yukon, i bought a 02 Yukon SLT with a transmission that wont go into reverse when you put in reverse it has a gear spinning noise,also when you put it in drive its fine in first but when it shifts into 2nd same thing happens sounds like a gear stripping noise HELP is there a inexpensive way to fix this ? cant wait to here my options

260.000KMS and ive been told i can ONLY use a 2002 Tranny on this truck is this true ?
