'02 Z71 steering shaking

i just got brand new stock goodyear 265/70r17 at/s tires on the stock wheels. since they were installed my steering wheel has been shaking the faster i drive. i went back this morning to have them re-balanced them and it actually got worse! a few people have told me it might be alignment or bearings..... but i had no issues before getting the new tires. i did notice they used the side/clamping weights in the inside of the wheels but also the new stick weights inside the wheel instead of the outside of the wheel.
anybody have any suggestions as to what it may be??

Does the steering wheel shake left to right, or does it feel like its a back and forth motion? I've had the simple alignment issues just like anyone where you have to hold the steering wheel slightly left or right to go straight, but on my '99 tahoe, '01 suburban, and now my '04 tahoe i notice a slight shake in the steering wheel every once in a while when i make a turn. Its not a shake as in it fights when i turn left or right, but rather the steering doesnt feel tight and feels loose. But i just had 285/70/17 BFG ATs put on a few weeks ago and i havent noticed anything. Someone told me that the steering in most GM suvs and trucks do that "shaking" over time. And with the weights, i know a lot of people have weights put on the inside of the rim as a preference so you don't see them. And I would also just stop in and have your lugs re-torqued since they say to after 50-100 miles after getting new tires.
