03 or 07 2500 suburban

I am pretty familiar with the 1500 series Tahoes and Suburbans. I have owned both an 02 Suburban and have an 01 Tahoe currently. I have limited knowledge with the 2500s. There are two 2500s for sale locally that I am considering. I would like the extra towing capacity so I am not so limited to the size travel trailer I plan to purchase. One is an 07 2500 4x4 with the 6.0 liter 120k. The other is an 03 2500 4x4 6.0 liter 86k. Both are in near mint condition in and out with clean carfax and seem to have been maintained. The 03 is $3500 cheaper than the 07. Is there any known problems I should be aware of with either. Leaning toward the 07 for the newer look but the lower mileage on the 03 would be nice. Any input would be appreciated.

I vote 03 without experience with either truck. Or just buy both

Shoot man, just on price savings and miles alone that 03 sounds really nice if that is the most basic comparison. Plus I really like the NBS look.

My first thought is 03... but if the 2007 has the 6L90E trans, that' might even the playing field a bit. I don't recall what model year they switched from the 4L80E to the 6L90E, might want to look into that especially if you're looking at pulling a trailer.

Just as an aside, i found trying to get info on the 2500s is like pulling teeth since there aren't as many owners circulating the forums as I expected. So i'm trying to get a FB group started to hopefully funnel some knowledge into a centralized place.

2 Under $13k on long Island car lots and on CL. Two 03s available an 8.1 with 90k other 6.0 with 81k. 07 is a little under $17k.....thanks for the input.
