03 tahoe 4l60e interchange? Which transmission will work 99 06?

I have a 03 tahoe 4wd I only have 1st and 2nd,

I've found a 01 Suburban a 2000 Silverado and a 2001 Tahoe all 4wd and all of them have 4l60e.
I'm wondering if any of them will work in my 03 Tahoe?
A salvage yard told me only 03 will work in my vehicle, I'm having a hard time believing that one.

Any info is appreciated

Your salvage yard guy is barely partially correct. 00 and 01 will work in the 03 only if you rewire the harness plug that goes into the tranny.(Valve body solenoid wiring). You can take your wiring harness out of your bad tranny and move it to the replacement. In 03 GM changed the wiring plug and pinout. Its an easy fix. Internally all 3 years of the trannys you listed are identical. Obviously any donor tranny has to be for a 4wd.

Okay so do I need to remove the pan on the 01 tranny and put my wiring harness inside my busted trans in it or just change the plugs

either way. easiest is just to change your old harness over to replacement tranny.
