03 tahoe aftermarket stereo

Hey guys i just bought a 03 tahoe. im looking to put an aftermarket navi system in. If been looking all around and checking everyone else's posts. But i couldnt seem to find one post that was trying todo exactly as i am. most people are only concerned about maintaining certain functions after the replacement of the stock stereo. Im looking to keep my rear stereo controls. my door chimes. the onstar system as well as the steering wheel functions.
Ive checked out the aftermarket adapters that you can buy but they are only for door chimes and onstar or just for steering wheel. i was wondering what all i have to buy to keep everything working properly ?

AFAIK there is no interface that will allow the rear controls to work. That being said IIRC when I was looking through all this stuff myself the headphones would still operate, and the RSE would still work as long as you kept the factory Bose amp, but as for actually controlling the aftermarket HU it's a no go... Also FYI the Onstar doesn't work on your 03 anyway. IIRC anything older than 07 has been outdated by the company that provides the service...

the onstar isnt as big of an issue as the steering wheel controls and rear controls i did notice it didnt work. i assumed they had some type of upgrade for it. anyways with an aftermarket unit will all the speakers work? ive read some threads that the tweeters wont work as well as some rear speakers? this this true. is there a way to get them all to work?

These 2 do all you requested except RSE. I believe that is a function shared and processed by the OEM head-unit and Bose amp together. You eliminate the OEM head-unit, you lose it completely.

Will all the speakers still work or just some ?

All the speakers will work, because you match all the wires of the aftermarket radio harness to the harness of the interface module. All the +/- wires for front left/right and rear left/right all match up so all the speakers will work. I have the bose system in my 03 Tahoe and used these 2 interface modules. The installation went real smooth, no issues at all.
