03 Tahoe drivetrain noises somebody help

Hi my name is jay I have a 03 Tahoe lt 5.3 197,430 miles just had the tranny rebuilt last week I have heard these sounds before I got it rebuilt and still now after when I shift from park to reverse have a "clunk" when I take off from a stop or coming to a stop when it downshifts from 2nd to 1st same "clunk" or if I go around a corner let off gas then back on same thing. and today when I was on the thruway I hear a whine the pitch changes from when I'm on the gas to just coasting any suggestions of what it is

I was kind of hoping that it was just u joints but figured the tranny shop would of checked it I'm going to check the u joints probably tomorrow finally going to be nice here in buffalo definitely sounds like it's coming from the rear I'm not too mechanically inclined I do oil, plugs wires brake pads car audio etc but I enjoy doing it and learning new things. how hard is it to rebuild the rearend if it turns out to be that and how do I know what rear end I have thanks in advance

Well finally got around to checking the u joints no play in those but the clunk is coming from where the rear driveshaft goes into the rear differential could this be the infamous slip yolk problem
