03 Tahoe HVAC control module repairs

Has anyone repaired their digital HVAC control module, specifically the dials scrolling thru the numbers randomly rather than sequentially
I had sprayed some electronic cleaner which did the trick temporarily for years, but want it fixed. I even wish I could go to a manual knob like the rear control has so it's not distracting when driving to quickly set temp.

I found this site, anyone have any experience?

I have read that it's usually because they are dirty. Canned air works, I believe, and I think someone took one apart and lubricated the dial, also.
