Will the 03 escalade be a direct plug and play? I notice the gauge orientation is pretty much the same but the onboard computer diagnostic display deal and it has a transmission temp gauge.

I have a couple of instrument lights out so i'm looking at my options.

thanks

Yes it's a plug and play. Trans temp gauge will work, DIC will work

I thought the trans temp was there in the wiring harness, it's just not being used because we don't have a gauge for it. So when you hook up a Esky cluster with the gauge it then works as its connected now. I remember reading that in one of the threads.

It's 50/50. For some, like me, it worked perfectly. Other's have reported that they needed programming, and used one of the ebay vendors to do so.

And I am talking about the tranny temp gauge, not the miles. You have to program the miles regardless.

Omar is right. There is a chance it will need to be programmed. You can add the trans temp gauge(stepper motor) to any cluster but you also need to have the overlay to show the gauge readings. if it doesn't work it will need to be programmed.

OMar is talking about issues adding the gauge to a non-guage equipped cluster.

If you have cluster that was factory equipped with the gauge, (2500HD Denali, Esky) then obviously the cluster firmware is factory programmed for it.

T03mm: actually the Onboard computer deal is identical too...
