Question. .. is it common for the display to lose all power when the stepper Motors are needing replaced? I lost all power to the display cluster then the next night I turned it on and I had backlighting only. I am just hoping that the stepper motor replacement will fix all of my issues and reflow the solder joints on the resistors.

In one you tube videos I watched it about reflowing the seven surface mount resistors to left of the speedo to correct the dim PRND321 display, they mentioned that there was a set of resistors to the right of the speedo that controlled the main power to the cluster board. I'll take a look to see if I bookmarked it, or can easily retrace my steps to find it again.

There are rebuilt cluster exchanges available and it's also a good time to upgrade to a Denali or Esky cluster. Check EBay.
