Welcome Dave. Aside from the usual stuff,the biggest thing to go out on these trucks is the trans. Make sure it shifts smoothly and doesn't make any weird noises. Before I bought mine, many of the ones I looked at had new or rebuilt trannies, so it's a common issue. Also, a fresh tune up might be good.

well if that is the only issues with them i am laughing i built the 4l60e for a number of years and still have a truck load of parts for them

Thats just one of the major issues with these trucks. There are some other issues also, mostly minor, depending on how well the previous owner took care of the vehicle.

Transmission check and tune it up - should be good. Prior maintenance matters!
