First time poster here. I assume an intro is due.... short and sweet

Texas born and proud
Army, on 3rd deployment right now
2003 Yukon, stock for now

Ive gotten some info already from jkmotorsports. Dude is very f-in helpful. My '03 has the Bose system, but I dont have Onstar. Since Im in the desert I cant picture my stock speakers. I know its 6.5s in all doors. The front tweeters are in the pillars, right? Arent there tweets in the far back pillars as well? If I buy 2 sets of 2ohm components, I should be able to drop in the front and back stock slots respectively, right? Also, wondering if a sub swap in the console is even possible.

Finally, I know I cna get something like an Isimple to control my Ipod... what about something to connect my PSP? I have tons of music and vids on my memory cards for it and would like to be able to use it.

Thanks for any help. Ive found tons of info here already. I have a long drive to GA when I get back and plan on doing some upgrade that have found on here. This place is alright with me.....

Good to see it you made it this way:cheers:
All the speakers in the doors are 6.75", but any aftermarket 6.5" speaker will work. The tweeters are in the a-pillars in the 03+ trucks, and the speakers in the d-pillars are 3.5", which are there mainly for the 3rd row passengers and not worth replacing in most cases.
There are a few integration modules that you can connect to your stock stereo for Ipod hookup and aux rca hookups so you can use your PSP.
Enjoy the site man and if you have any questions, feel free to ask around.

From Odessa originally, but have lived a few other places.

SO they arent tweeters all the way in the back? I know the back seats have a pretty long speacker grill, would it be relatively easy to put the tweeter in there? Or should I just drop components in the front and 2-ways in the back seat?

Are all the Ipod connectors this overpriced?

depends on how bad you want an Ipod in there. :)

No, they are mostly reasonably prices...i say just coax in rear, good components up fornt.

Sounds good, I'll get some Infinity's lined up. How much fabbing needs to be done for the tweeters in the A-piller to fit? Or is it a simple drop in? (Im doubting it is)

Thanks again for the quick responses...

Won't be too hard to get them in there. Once you pull it apart you'll see that making it fit won't be hard at all.
