My 2003 Denali has the Panasonic unit. I noticed that you have to start the RSE, wait till the DVD emblem shows up on the head unit and then it let's you choose RSE as a source option. I always do this in park but I haven't confirm that you need to be in park.

GM only used panasonics. Id grab one off ebay or the junkyard so it all works properly. bad thing is you may need new wireless headphones to work with the panasonic.
audiovox makes preety ****** stuff in my experience, youd be doing yourself a favor getting rid of it.
