I have a 04 denali xl I'm not trying to race it or anything just want to open it up a little. I was thinking intake, exhaust, headers, vette servo, and maybe a black bear tune?? Trying not to spend a bunch of money?

Not being mean, but this question has been asked alot lately. But your right on for your mods. All that is opening it up, and surely get the BB tune... dont have one, but as soon as i can i will be.

The tune is going to give you more than probably all those other mods combined. The most bang for your buck is a cam and a tune. It's been proven in several magazine tech articles that these motors respond very well to even mild cams. Musclecar mag put a mild cam and some headers on a 5.3 and twisted 65 more ponies out of it. I plan on putting a TSP 224R in my 6.0 next spring. just my 2 pennies.

if you dont want to crack open the 6.0, get a CAI, headers and ORY if you can, and a Black Bear tune.

4.8 5.3 and 6.0 are all interchangeable. Only difference is your exhaust won't have a Y off the headers. You will have 2 parallel pipes all the way to the muffler. If you have a good exhaust shop near by I'd get headers and have them connect your stock exhaust to the collectors of the new headers. Make sure the headers you buy fit an AWD vehicle. I'd also spend more money instead of getting LPP as several people have had fitment problems. Do alot of searching here and on performancetrucks.net and educate yourself before you order the first part.
