I have an aftermarket Pioneer single din that has been hooked up with a GMOS-04 for over a year now and played perfectly. Recently the sound coming through the speakers gets muffled then really clear and fades between speakers. Before buying another GMOS-04 just wanted to get feedback of what to check. I have already reset all stereo connections. Does this maybe sound like the bose amp going out on me?

You have whats called "gremlins" in your system. They look like this and must be taken out with extreme prejudice! I recommend a RPG or .50cal heavy machine gun.
Pro tip, Never never get them Wet!
