The middle rear row seats in my Tahoe fold down and the headrests fold back. There are sometimes when I need free and clear space that the headrests intrude into. Is there any way to remove the headrests or is folding them back the only option?

Buy a suburban? Lol not sure if they remove or not. Do you have a bench or buckets?

U can remove the head rest but then two metal poles are still sticking out the seat.

There are little pin holes that u poke a tiny needle into and the head rest pop off

Yeah, on the Suburban I think they come out, not so on Tahoe. 60/40 bench.

Thanks, I will have to look for the little pin holes. That's a bummer that the posts stay on the seat and just the headrest cushions come off. I guess it made too much sense to have the middle row 60/40 be the same between Tahoe and Suburban. Stupid GM.

I have a XL and my headrest don't fold at all. I wish they did... haven't looked if they remove though.

But the whole seat is completely different from the tahoe to a suburban. Because your seat has to compensate for the wheel wells and a suburban doesn't because it's longer.

I drove an 01 Sub in the past and I'm fairly certain that the headrests come out of the seat back. The basic seat structure is the same between the 2 vehicles, it's not like the seat bottoms or seat backs are shorter.
