What's up guys, I had planned on installing a Magnaflow cat-back exhaust to my ride, went to check some prices and found out that I can't use a Magnaflow exhaust because of the upgraded suspension package that comes on the Z71...I'm hoping you guys could help me with some other options, I've considered Flowmaster but liked the sound of the Magnaflow better. Are there any other systems out there that any of you have used that you like, and that would work on my ride? Thanks...

Corsa Sport 14232 (Z71 specific)

-or-

Corsa Touring 14234 (Z71 Specific)

sport is louder and has more rasp under WOT than the touring. I have used Corsa on several of my personal vehicles and exclusively on my customers rides. I love the sport, but many prefer the touring. I can tell you this...they are a bit more $$ but lifetime no BS warranty and hands down the best quality.

I have always ran a volant intake as the fitment has always been second to none. You can choose the power core dry filter or the oil filter

Amazon has good pricing on them, and I run the power core now.

Volant 15153 for the oiled filter
Volant 151536 for the power core dry filter

You may also want to look into electric fans. I make my own, but the GM factory ones are decent. This will also require a tune and control harness which I also do this myself, but many vendors can provide these.

True other than the heat soaked aluminum tube. Your truck will suffer from higher IATs because of that cool looking tube.

Well, I went with the Volant Power Core, installed it last weekend and am very happy with it so far. Great fitment and looks great, I also bought the Corsa Sport cat-back and will install it tomorrow afternoon. I'm wondering, if anyone knows as I can't find a straight answer from the search function, will I have to cut the stock exhaust out to remove it? And to Sprayed99, thanks for the advice man...

We have not seen that in our dyno tests. The air moves so quick through the tube, doesn't have time to heat up. Plus metal cools down quicker than plastic, so when air starts moving through that tube, the metal really isn't all that hot. Heat displacement.
