MY NEIGHBOR OFFERED ME HIS 2004 Yukon SLT FULLY LOADED AIR SUSPENSION LEATHER INTERIOR 7 seats 150k runs excellent paint is a 10 is this a good deal with this mileage he is asking 4000$

It would awesome if you can get the service records on it.

i just paid $4500 for a 04 slt with 140000 miles it was a one owner all maint records couple small dings driver seat a little worn [leather] i looked for 4 months before i found it an felt like i got a good deal , central fl.

Ya $4k is a good price, especially if the suspension system is without fault.

Take it for a test drive and see how the truck handles on bumps and potholes. Have the seller activate whatever different suspension modes and be certain all of that is 'as it should be.'

If you look online through the differnt parts stores, you will find those shocks cost over $350 each. So, if the shocks are soft or no longer activating you could find yourself spending an extra $1000 real quick.

It's only a matter of time before it needs new shocks but better for you if they hold up for another 6-mo. Don't replace them with junk or the dummy version. It's a rip off as the dummy shock is only like $100 cheaper while built with 50-cent technology.

1k for shocks? Maybe a chain store that's gonna **** you. I replaced all 4 shocks with Monroe shocks on my last tahoe for less than 300.00. I paid about 40.00 a piece for them and had a local tire ship install for 100.00.

I bought that truck from California without seeing it in person and the salesman said the suspension was all good and obviously without test driving I took a chance and all 4 were original and totally shot at 180k miles.

I think I may need new shocks on my recently purchased 04 z71. I'm at 149k miles. I think their original. I do wanna do a leveling kit though as my tires are rubbing since their 33" on stock suspension

NAPA branded the same part & put a lower price point on it. I never felt like they "*****" me on anything except their China made bearings. Learned my lesson on that 1

Unless you are admitting to us that you replaced factory air ride shocks with aftermarket gas charged units. In which case you ***** yourself out of a quality ride & completely altered the suspension of what was carefully engineered specs.

I'm no expert but I dfidnt think any of the nbs Tahoes or yukons came with air ride and that's what the op is looking at. From what I thought only the denali' came with air ride?
