One more for the brain trust here.....does a Z71 Tahoe have different springs & torsion bars from a non Z71 Tahoe? Rear is higher than the front(stink bug stance) and I looked at the front torsion bar adjuster bolts. Drivers side front has more preload(bolt screwed in) and the drivers side is still ~5/8" lower than pass. side front. Looks like the drivers side t-bar may have taken a 'set' over time.

Update to this thread, and perplexing find on the alignment issue...

A few months ago when I went back to have the alignment checked and brought into spec after having installed new tires, the tech working on the Tahoe made an off the cuff remark that some of the upper control arm bolts were loose when he first touched them. I chalked that up to the prior tech who worked on it as it seemed like he was struggling with getting it setup. Anyway, I didn't think much of it back then.

Well, update to yesterday, I could tell it was time to take it back in and to a more competent shop. I can feel when the alignment is out and this time it was accompanied by a clunking when turning to full lock either direction. I was at a buddy's house the other day and did a U turn in front of him. He noticed the RF tire tipping(camber) in and out as I turned.

On a hunch, I checked the upper control arm bolts.....loose on both sides, but only the rear mount bolts for the upper control arms. WTF? Anyone else ever seen upper control arm bolts loosen themselves up over a relatively short period of time? Any possible causes for these to self loosen?

They probably were not tightened enough when the last person did the alignment. The camber/caster adjusters are on those bolts.

If it was one person that had their hands on it, I'd say yes. But there are 3 different sets of hands that have worked on this. Unless Just Tires hires unqualified people, it seems unlikely that all 3 people didn't tighten them adequately????
