I disconnected the intermediate steering shaft when replacing exhaust manifold bolts on my 05 Yukon Denali XL. My reliable assistant in charge of keeping the steering wheel straight while I was doing this repair, got distracted and didn't keep it straight. The steering wheel rotated 1 or maybe 2 times.

After reassembling everything, the Service Stability warning now comes on after the first 1/4 turn of the steering wheel while driving. No air bag light, and the radio buttons work fine.

What do I need to check/adjust/redo to eliminate the Service Stability warning? Thanks in advance for any help.

Did you ever figure out what the problem was with the steering stability.
Same situation happened to me I'm thinking it is the steering wheel position sensor. Please let me know if I am correct .Thanks

Assuming that the front wheels are not moved during front end work, tying off the steering wheel to the passenger door, etc. would probably be the simple solution to prevent this issue.
