Hey everybody.... just as this forum has been so helpful in the past.. I thought I would post and see if anybody can give me any good advice on how to fix/repair my gear shift indicator.
It has gone quite dim... and just about unreadable.
Everything works fine.. you just can't read where the indicator is.
I can get use to it but others drive the vehicle too .. and of course.. I hear their complaints.

thank you in advance
take care

you can try reflowing solder on the connection after you remove the display. or send it off to one of the many companies that rebuild these, do a search. I think this is the right video, somewhere this same guy shows you what to do to fix your specific problem, sorry no audio at work computer...what to do if you wanna do it yourself:

This guy fixes your specific issue for 25 bucks, but it'll cost you shipping both ways. If you do this, I'd have the stepper motors replaced at the same time, they will eventually fail anyway.
