Hey guys Im experiencing a terrible reduced engine power problem. The code says its caused by bad communication betwwen the pedal and throttle body. I have been cruising all of the forums for advice; I replaced the Maf sensor, the throttle body, took it to the stealership and they charged $400 for a little replacement wiring to the throttle body, but nothing has fixed it! The worst part is I am on vacation and I have to drive back on Wednesday! It's in the stealership again but if they can't figure it out I need to know other possoble fixes.

Any other possible troubleshooting/tips on this issue?

I'm not too familiar with this problem but I'd tell the stealership not to do anything to the vehicle if they don't how to fix it. Or else they'll keep taking your money.

I seem to recall reading some other posts about this. One of the issues was a ground wire coming loose. May want to check some of those grounding straps.

when did this start? randomly? or after some type of service?

also what exact code are you getting? do you have a scanner on you? does the problem come and go? did "reduced power" come on and has never gone off since? do you clear the code, truck runs fine for a day, then happens again?

It had done it randomly before but I turned it off and back on and it was fine. It finally got to where I can't drive it this trip cause about every time I accelerate it goes into the limp mode. I think the codes were p2108 and p1516. I've been reading up a lot about these and the only other possible fixes I've heard are re flashing the vcm and replacing the ground on the back of the passenger head. I will probably have to tell the stealership about the reflash and even though gm decided a reflash was necessary and put one out they will most likely use it as another way to charge me out the arse

mine was throwing this code for about a week. but mine started after washing the motor. my situation seems alittle different than yours, but i fixed it by disconnecting the plug at the throttle body and spraying some wd40 in it
