My 2005 Chevy Tahoe the last couple of weeks will have an issue starting. It will start w/o issue for 3-4 days then when I got to turn it over the headlights will come on as well as dash light and warning lights but when I turn the key over it won't starts. doesn't click or anything. sometimes if I wait and try again over a 5 minute span it will start up, other times I give up over 15 mins and get it jumped where it will start and away I got for another several days before it crops up again. I have had the battery, alternator and starter tested and they all test as fine. I read on the forum that it could be a bad battery cell (I'm in AZ and it's very hot this time of year),so I replaced the battery about 10 days ago and worked fine until yesterday morning when it started up fine at my house and I stopped off at the store to pickup breakfast and it wouldn't start. I waited like 30 seconds then it started on it's own. Some more details about the car it's a 2005 with 128K miles. I bought it used from a independent dealer back in February so don't know much about the cars care and maintenance other than the interior is in really good shape (not telling, I know) and a cursory inspection of my mechanic shown no leaks and all original parts. I am not very mechanic (I did replace the battery--know that's not saying much and I can do a few things if need be). I don't mind taking it to my mechanic but don't really want them guessing on a bunch that will cost me a hundreds of dollars and multiple trips for a simple fix. Thanks in advance for your input.

If you don't hear any clicking when you go to start it, it is more than likely the starter solenoid. That's cheaper to replace than the whole starter. However, for peace of mind, you could replace the whole thing. Relatively easy, just a couple of bolts to undo.
