My 110k mile 05 Yukon 4x4 (Z71 package) won't start. When it cranks it starts or a millisec but won't catch, like it has spark for a second. The traction control shows disabled all of a sudden, haven't seen that before. The dash readouts show no gas (not zero but just dashes), no range left (again dashes not zero), 0 lbs tire pressures on TPM, but odom and trip odom still work. Everything else seems to operate properly.

Any ideas guys?? Thx for your help. Figured ya'll would have maybe come by this before....

It cranks just fine and all the electrical components work, so it's got plenty of power. Just won't start. I'm in AZ so it's hot in the summers, but cool now. I also noticed that the electronic gear selector does not show up, so I can't tell by the display what gear it's in. I'm thinking my Neutral Safety Switch is inoperatable since it can't read what gear it's in....but I assume the engine wouldn't even crank. Am I right?

ah, see now i'm not sure, i had a problem when it was a hundred out and my truck was hot where i would shut it off and it would crank but not start, i found a thread on here a while back that sounded like my issue, but this one is different than mine, cause mine would start after a few tries or an hr or so

it could very well be a fuel issue. Does anybody know if you would be able to hear or feel the vibration of the fuel pump if it in fact was working?is there any other good way to tell if it in fact had fuel pressure? It appears that the filter and pump are both in the tank. Since all of my readouts on my display regarding fuel consumption and fuel level are not working I figured maybe there is a sensor in a tank that was also not working along with the fuel pump unit. The TPMS are now working and I figured out that the traction control it supposed to display that until the car is started. so at this point the only display that screwed up is my shift indicator is not visible and displays related to fuel level and consumption are in operable.

Do you think that a pump failure would also mimic the same symptoms with the digital display?

I can easily hear and feel the fuel pump come on when I turn the key forward. I can also smell the fuel when it tries to start. So it's more than likely a spark issue.......darn computers.
