Somebody probably had their impact set on kill when they were put on. Plus the rust and corrosion. Just glad you got them off without breaking any studs!

I trimmed about 1 1/2 inches off the bottom of mine. I think I should've went maybe another 1/8 or so more.HD grille. Trimmed the lower part a little more than an inch. There's a middle bracket. Trimmed that as well and kept it for extra support. Everyone asks how much need to be trimmed. Well after I did mine it's hard to measure exactly so I trimmed it to where it's flush with the lower mounting tabs.

You can see the middle brace that bolts on the back side along with the bowtie. It hangs down. I was able to slide that part behind the bumper pad but it wouldn't pop the rivet into place.

You can also see where the trimmed part is flush with the outer mounting spots.
I ran an oiled k&n in mine for awhile and never had any issues, fortunately.Swapped out a pretty clean fram filter for a k&n panel.

2 miles later I immediately get the infamous check engine light
Only lightly oiled one side, the dirty side. Might take it out and clean it and run it dry, should be OK ?View attachment 181592

Wouldn't surprise me. Bunch of morons that work on tires up here. I gotta baby sit people. Went to 3 different shops to have my Nissan wheels installed. Every single one of them said they can't do it because I drive a Chevy truck and the wheels are for a Nissan truck. Lost a sale plus I was buying tires at the time. Found some tires at one place then had another put them on the rims. Then another to install them.Somebody probably had their impact set on kill when they were put on. Plus the rust and corrosion.
