Next on the list was to try the bumper and grille just for kicks. Used the color Blurple* from the plastidip line up. Pretty close match to the indigo.....so I thought.

In shade is not bad. With flash is bad lol. Lighter and more purple than what i wanted. But hey I know and now so do you indigo blue owners know.

Like I said I'm just having fun with this stuff now that I found a place that sells more than just black and white plastidip.

Tried out the plastidip smoke and see how it looked on the tails.

4 coats plus 3 coats glossifier

Shade darker but not blacked out. Honestly I like the look. Went from a cherry to a dark cherry. Just doesn't have the gloss I want , which is expected from plastidip so its fine.
Also the camera automatically brightens it up so it's slightly darker in person, it matches this next pic toned down with edit.

So i figure maybe i could use the smoke on the bumper and grille to darken the color up some. And grabbed blue metalizer with a blue flake in hopes to wash out some of the purple. Not exact match but looks a little better.
Either way it's not staying, like I said just play time with this stuff.
I also threw 3 coats of glossifier on my lower valance and lip. (Remember valance is previously dipped from before?

Then I blacked out the bowtie

And decided to put the blue metalizer on top. Looks pretty trick. I'm not much of a sparkle glitter guy but this looks :boobs:the way it flashes blue in the light and is black in the shade

And i swear thats it for plastidip. Next will be real paint ;)

Fancy. Not feeling the purple look tho. I've yet to see the smoke dip around here. Gonna keep my eyes open for it. I've see some carbon fiber wrap/vinyl on Amazon. Been thinking of doing some interior panels and the grill bowtie with it.

Ive recently found our that our color is super hard to match. I'm still a rookie with plastidip and this is all the store had. Figure I'd give it a try..in no way am I feeling the purple on my blue truck either. It's coming off soon.

Nice. Love the look with the visors! Smooth.
thanks, easiest parts to paint ever lol. Hardest to install and set perfectly even with each other and the windows lol. Most opt for in-channel, I usually do too but glad I didn't this time.

You did a great job with all those parts. Steady Freddy.
Thanks red. When I grew up my dad listened to 70s country and I hated it. Now every time I do very small detailed mods like this I sing this song over and over again, it actually helps me concentrate lmao

As I get older I begin to enjoy the older country music like Conway twitty, as the newer stuff is garbage.
