06 Denali question

Just bought an 06' with only Denali for the wife (only one owner and 87k miles). Really happy with it overall. I have a couple of questions...

Does anybody know what this wire harness is coming out of the drivers side door panel?

Looks out of place.

Also not really an interior question but the left rear molding behind the rear tire is peeling and it looks like one of the plastic rivets is toast. Anybody know the part number or size for those things?

That wire harness looks like the harness to the door light, try taking off the door light and see if there's a harness on it because the one hanging looks exactly like that
