Yes. If youre in rust land, shoot them with PB or Kroil each day leading up to the job. Also, have the weight off of the truck when you do it. Conventional wisdom says 1 turn = 1/4" lift. Mine stayed true to that, as well. Also, it will settle down a little by driving after you do it, so don't just slap a tape on there as soon as you set it down. It is also recommended to align it afterwards, although a few turns really don't seem to make a huge difference. I'm sure it's best practice, though, especially with new tires.
Thanks for the info. This is a great forum. I plan on swapping the wheels out on Saturday after I clean them up and get a few coats of dip on them. Im gonna start spraying the bolts today because, yeah, shes a rusty girl under there. I didn't plan on doing anything to this truck since I already have 2 other projects but I just cant help it. Plus, this has become my daily and it just needs the right touches because cmon, stock is never cool
**edit** how many turns do you think I should give it? I don't wanna sacrifice ride comfort since that's all this thing has going for it over my other cars lol. From the math you gave me, Im thinking maybe 3 turns to raise it about 3/4 might not hurt
