07 6.2L oil pressure sensor screen

Can anyone that has replaced the screen under the oil pressure sensor give me an idea how deep it sat below the threads? I bought a neglected 07 Denali with 188k and a dead oil gauge. I replaced the sensor but I’m convinced there wasn’t a screen there to begin with. I tried taking a pic but there just wasn’t enough room to get my phone directly over the hole. At the end I did not take a screen out or did I put the new one in bc I didn’t want to jam the first one down further. I now have a dash reading which is good, but now knowing what the pressures are has me wondering. Is there still a partially clogged screen in there or do I have an oil pump pickup o ring problem. Gauge pic is cold startup idle 80 degree ambient temp.

So your gauge, oil pressure! Was dead? Not moving fir nothin. Right? You did the screen and it started to work? I'm having the same issue. Today it moved, I looked down and it was at 80 and then dropped back to dead. Did you do a sensor change too?

So your gauge, oil pressure! Was dead? Not moving fir nothin. Right? You did the screen and it started to work? I'm having the same issue. Today it moved, I looked down and it was at 80 and then dropped back to dead. Did you do a sensor change too?

My question revolves around the depth of the screen under the sensor. I replaced the sensor and now my gauge does not read 0 all the time.

Oil pressure looks good
My 07 Denali had a screen, and when removed it was a little twisted from the sensor pushing down on it. So if I had to guess you didn't have one. Also I used a small 90 degree pick to remove it.

Actually I dont think you need it, since you don't have afm

I was also using a 90 degree pick and running it slowly down the side and never encountered any resistance that I could tell. I’ll nurse my bruised forearm from switching the sensor out and leave it as is. Thanks everyone.
