Just took a look at a brand new OEM pump, and a new Melling. Plenty of room for 2 o-rings. So yeah, I I'd have to say go for it. Let's not forget, we add the second bolt to the pickup tube because GM chose to save some money.... And this is really a no-brainer as well.

Not sure if two will last any longer than one. It's probably the heat that gets to the o-ring eventually. But I definitely say there's no harm in using two.

I think those that disagree have not had one apart to examine them. Thanks for your review. If the first Mahle O Ring had fit as tight as the Fel Pro I have used in the past I never would have looked at options. With two in that hole I feel better about using them. As we discussed this O ring only holds vacuum so the pump does not pull air rather than oil from the pan. No pressure to blow anything out.
