07+ Escalade & Denali roof rack compadability?

So I'm literally at the car wash right now & I'm looking @ a 2009 Detail & a 2004 Escalade. The racks look identical. Will an 07+ rack fit our 00-06's?

I have an 08 tahoe with carcrz's old roof rack from 01-06 escalade. It is a direct bolt on replacement. The only difference is the rubber piece that surrounds the whole side rail. On the older ones, the rubber piece is three pieces per side rail. The newer ones is one whole rubber piece that goes all the way around the rail and both end caps. That's basically the only difference. The one piece is definitely the better design in general and will fit the end caps on easier and i'm guessing that's why they changed it. I had a little trouble fitting the rubber pieces all together to get the end caps snapped on there whereas if it was a one piece it wouldn't of even been an issue. hope this helps-- let me know if you have any other questions.

Awesome...thanks for the info. I've found one from an 08 locally & after seeing all 00-06 next to the 07+ I thought I'd check.

no problem.. yea so basically they fit vice versa too from nbs to nnbs! Pretty awesome that the same bolt's can be used too. Good job GM

I am right there with you, someone have some close up pics? I have been looking all over for a set of roof racks that will fit mine and all I have come across is the 07 & newer. If I can make the new one fit my 06 I will be a very happy person.

Yea it will work. Direct bolt in replacement. Same hardware. Same end caps. This page here has up close pics of an nnbs esky roof rack on nnbs tahoe.

Go figure, I always thought that they looked far too similiar. I have a suburban so it makes it a bit more difficult to find an ESV roof rack. I actually have a line on one right now and have passed up on so many 07 & newer escalade racks thinking they would not work for me.....

well the ESV esky roof rack on nnbs suburban should work too... in theory at least. When looking for my roof rack, I always searched eBay and craigslist for it and always saw a few ESV roof racks too..
