So I was at my local salvage yard today and came across an 07 Suburban and looked inside. The first thing I noticed was the shifter. I noticed that the shifter had the same base and the same wires for the tow/haul as my '04 Yukon. It has a slightly different connector though. Instead of having 2 pins in the connector it has 4 but 2 of them are empty because this shifter doesn't have the + and - for manual shifting. The wires come out of the back of the plugs so I'm going to take the old plug and put it on the new shifter. Or maybe I'll just wire them straight together. I love the triangular shape of these newer shifters and I'm positive I can get it to work. I'll post the result tomorrow with pictures when I'm done.

Can't wait to see the results. I may try this myself. I love the shifter in my 07 Denali.

Well, here it is! Tow/Haul works great and just like the original. I took it for a test drive just to make sure it actually engages and it does. The best part about it is it doesn't get in the way of the air controls when you're in drive anymore. It's angled down more than the original. However when it's in park you can't see the clock.

Thanks! Oh I didn't know that existed. Maybe I'll look into it.

Ive never seen a leather one without the chrome, but I dont think it would be out of place... There is only a few other very small chrome things in my truck and it looks fine.
