I know it's not advisable to drive on a bad bearing, but I did for about 10 days. I ordered a new front wheel bearing, and got it in the mail yesterday.
However, two days ago, I was pulling into my driveway. As I applied the brakes I heard something snap, and the grinding noise went away. After the snap, as I applied the brakes coming up to my garage door, they went all the way in, it felt like I had lost hydraulic pressure, spongy, but they did stop the car - I had my foot on the emergency brake in case it wasn't as soon as I felt them so spongy.
Anyway, haven't driven the truck since, but need some input as to what might be wrong... I know how to replace the bearing, but with the brake issue, I'm not certain what the problem could be, but want to make sure I have everything I need to fix the issue so I get it done all at once.
Thanks
