My left headlight went out, bought the replacement light bulb at pep boys, but how the hell do you replace it, you cant reach it from the back, and I figure out that you have to remove 2 screws from the top, but I still can't pry it out, is there anything else I have to do. And is it the same for the daylight running lights. Thanks guys.

It is a royal PIA that's one reason I switched to HID's!. Basically you will need to pull the front grill/fender assembly loose from the body to pull the lamp assemble forward. There is a hidden nut you need to get from inside the wheel well too. I think there is a write up somewhere. I will post it if I find it. I've put in HID's and LED's fro driving lights so far and will do the other bulbs later. It's nothing like the old GM's as far as easy replacement. I have heard of folks with small hands getting back there but not me.

I don't think there's a dealership in this country that won't pull the Tahoe in and show you how to change the bulb, no charge. It would only take somebody 15 seconds to tell you "screw this, pull this, jerk that, slam this, punch it all back in!"

They should even change the bulb while showing you.

I could be wrong though.

Tell me about it, me and you are in the big hand league :), my hands don't fit there, you have to have small hands to fit in there. But if you do find that post I would appreciate it.

There's no other way I know of other that removing the bumper cover and taking off the housings. PIa yes, but it takes about ten minutes to do the whole thing. But it really should be designed better to make it easier on the owner. Next time blow a tail light ... much easier to take off. :)

Btw, if you're gonna be taking off the bumper off anyway and pulling out the housings, now would be a good time to swap all the bulbs out for Silverstars. I think the lows are H11 and the highs are H1, but double check on the sylvania site to be sure. They're a little more expensive but make a big difference in light output.
