07 tahoe navi help

help please! I installed oem nav in 07 Tahoe. thought I did everything correctly, but there is still a line through GPS. Also, the map is showing up but it is opposite. example, when I am going north it is showing that I am moving south. Anyone have any ideas? Thx in advance

Did you get the GPS antenna?

yes. it shows all the streets where I am but everything is like the map is off 90 degrees.

Have you driven the vehicle. I think you have to drive around a block or 2 for it to learn where it is. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Yes ive driven it about 50 miles. Does any one know if i have the vss corrct. The red wire is in position 4, and the black is in position 5. Bopth coming from the onstar. Before i hs the vss in it didnt show the streets i was driving on, but since i put it in it at least shows the streets. I'll try to put in a destination to see if the voice prompts happen. Thx for the thoughts. Keep them coming

I might have figured it out. 1 of 2 things or both might have helped. 1st the antenna was turned sideways( so I turned it to where the front was facing the front). 2nd I re-tapped the vss harness( I originally had something called quick splice, but changed to t-tap connector) and the line it worked fine. It seems like there might be a short somewhere now because the line through the gps shows up and goes away sometimes
