My suspension seems to be pretty loose. Most notably, when the truck is in park, I can push the bumper hard with my foot and the truck will rock forward and backward at least several times before stoping. It moves enough where I can hear gas sloshing around in the tank. I've had bad shocks cause side to side movement on other cars, but never this drastic rocking front to back.

Anyone experience this before?

Are you saying the truck can roll forward and back a few inches when pushed in park or it bounces up and down a few times after you push down once on the bumper?

The forward and back thing has nothing to do with your suspension and is normal. It's just slack between the gear and parking pawl in the trans.

This

I watch others park whether on a slight incline/decline or on hills and just drop it in park and watch the car/truck bounce as it settles. Can't stand the movement from the slop. Drives me nuts.
I have been using my parking/E-brake for as long as I can remember.

Yeah thats not a suspension issue. Thats just what happens when you push a car. It's just how the parking pawl falls into place when you put it in park.

I do the same when parking on an incline: Come to a stop, hold the brake, yank the parking/e-brake (this is in my work van- Ford Transit), shift to Neutral, get off the brake pedal to ensure it'll stay in place, then shift to Park.
