Just purchased an 07 yukon slt with heated, power folding mirrors. It seems that passenger mirror will not fold in or out. Can hear motor running while switch is depressed. I assume that it probably has plastic gears that are stripped or broke.
In both driver and passenger mirrors the glass seems to shake at certain adjustment positions. Also assume plastic gears/mounts are broke.
Anyone has any ideas or instructions on how to disassemble and fix above problems. If anyone has a write up with pictures that would be a huge help.
This is our first Yukon, after several Expeditions, and love it.
Thanks for the help.

I came over from an Expedition as well - got tired of dead window motors and back hatch paint bubbles! Been very happy with our Suburban and now my Yukon.

I am not aware of anywhere that sells the folding motor, only the motor that adjusts the mirror itself. I ended up replacing the whole mirror assembly, you can get the OEM parts on Ebay pretty easily. Just be sure to make sure you are getting the right part to match the "old" part, (options are turn signal in the mirror, blind spot detector, heated, power folding) and you'll be good to go. Took me about 45 minutes to replace both my mirrors, so it's not a huge job. There are good tutorials on this board and also on Youtube.
