Well I have to tow a uhaul 6x12 enclosed trailer with a couch, love seat, and a 07 gsxr 1000 motorcycle. I will be towing from Florida to Arkansas 14.5hrs and was wondering if I have anything to worry about transmission wise. Will it hold up with no worries, do I leave it in tow haul mode the whole way even at highway speeds or just in town. Shouldn't be a whole lot of weight really and should I put stock wheels back on or will the 26" be ok just drink more gas. Sorry if these questions sound dumb I'm use to towing with a diesel truck. Yukon is 2wd with with 60k miles no corvette servos or anything yet.

Honestly, it doesn't hurt to use it. Just an FYI - tow-haul mode goes off after you turn the vehicle off, so you'll have to remember to turn it back on each and every time. Because your aren't towing a huge load, I don't think you'll get into trouble if you forget to put it on after each start up. Although, I find it does help with the shifting (holds the upper gears longer and at a higher rpm, and also down shifts sooner) if you come across any hills, or the sudden need to pass a slow moving vehicle.

The only other thing to watch is your transmission temp, which, you should be able to do from your DIC (driver information center). You probably do not have a factory transmission cooler installed, so I would just keep an eye on the temp as you go along (anything in the mid 200's and up is not good).

Other then that, you should be fine. These vehicle tow pretty well if you know what you are doing. I would not foresee you having any significant problems to worry about. Good luck and have a nice trip! :Handshake:

yeah just watch the temp for tranny thats about it. I trailered my show eclipse on a 18 foot tralier with 24's on the hoe from MD to SC with no issues at all and really didn't eat up a whole lot of gas with them on.

I will be towing a bagged Rodeo from Iowa to Tennessee with my 24's on. You shouldn't have any problems or even notice the wheels but you may feel more comfortable with stock wheels.

That's fine on the temp I've run hotter towing my boat up some big hills. When you tow with those type of tires be sure the load range is enough and air up to the max psi.
