Welp, it’s already started. Passenger front exterior door handle broke as is so very common on these things  spent so much time on the 07 and 13 burns replacing those handles every few years. So hopped on the line tonight and ordered a full set of OEM handles knowing the other 3 are not far behind and it’s getting harder to find OEM door handles and the aftermarket ones barely last a year it seems like. Anyhoot, #gmt900problems

Agreed. I spent about $380 for the set when the aftermarket junk was like 75 or something. Not sure if it really makes financial sense but if it keeps me from doing the job more often then I guess it’s paying for my time lol wish there was a quality aftermarket that was cheaper than OEM OOORRRRR just wish this wasn’t an issue to begin with :happy175:

I put a dorman on the avalanche years ago. I got tired of replacing with OEM and decided to give a try. So far so good. They pull doesn't feel as "solid" as the OEM though. Hopefully I didn't jinx myself.

New pads up front, new sway bar end links and resistors installed on all four corners. Good news is all lights on the dash are now gone as are DIC messages EXCEPT one. Still have the Service Suspension Message on the DIC. Thoughts??

In other news, it seems I need a new cruise control switch. I originally thought it didn’t work because of the suspension and stabilitrak issues. On my test drive I actually got it to click on once but not after that so cruise does work but the switch isn’t reliable is what I’m getting from that.

Also, the dead people transporters replace 3 shocks and not 4  so I have 3 new ones and one original that was still plugged into the autoride system :whymewhyme: Obviously, it’s not anymore but my OCD is going through the roof right now!

Maybe that last one hadn't expired yet. Why send it to an early grave?

It’s ok, I still have that message on the cluster that looks just like that that I installed in my Silverado. I just press the button until it goes away at every startup. I don’t know why I’d get that message……….:)
