just recently purchased an 08 Denali AWD 6.2. Very pleased with the vehicle as a whole. couple issues with it, one being it has a what i feel to be a miss at idle. It runs smooth under acceleration and cruise. Just cant clear the miss at idle... new plugs and wires just installed. Im sure im beating a dead dog with this thread but i cant seem to get a straight answer anywhere.

Miss at idle could also be a faulty plug wire. Pop your hood in the dark and see if you can catch a spark arching. This happened to me a few years back.

These trucks all run a little rougher at idle than anything else I have own. Could be a miss but I'm guessing just the nature of the beast.

SW CT,
My '07 tahoe with 5.3 ran smooth at idle, my current '11 suburban with 6.0 is rough, definetly could make you think it has a miss. Nature of the beast with the larger displacement LS motors.

My mom had this issue with her escalade just this week.
See if when you put it in reverse or drive and let go of the breaks if it shudders or anything. Her issue was a exhaust valve spring.

But on the other hand my 5.3 Tahoe doesn't have the most attractive idle at times.
Could just be how the engine runs they're all different.

Mine (also a 6.2) does the same thing, its the nature of the beast.. If its bad missfire it should turn on a check engine light or flash it if its multiple missfires...OBDII requirements
