I have an 08 Denali and have had issues with the AC. After driving for about 30 minutes or so, no air at all would blow out of the vents even though you can hear the blower fan runnin like crazy. Neither cold or hot air would blow out. I went to the local GM service shop, told them about the problem and they keep my Denali for over two weeks. When I finally called them they acted like they didn't even have my car. Two days later they called and sait it was done. I still have the same problem. My Denali has been in twice fo the same problem and its not fixed yet. GO GM Service Team!!!!!

I have an '08 Suburban and have had the same problem. To add to it, if I start the car with the AC on, this horrible grinding/rattling noise comes from under the hood. I have to start the car and get moving to avoid this problem, and sometimes it still occurs. Took it to the dealership and they couldn't find/replicate the problem.

Additionally I've had the same electrical gremlin when my audio/DVD system shuts off and restarts. Sometimes it comes right back on, sometimes it continues playing audio, and sometimes it delivers a written message saying "DVD-ROM drive has some problem." I kid you not.

VTburban,

I encourage you to have the vehicle inspected by a certified technician. The noise you are referring to may be caused by the A/C compressor trying to move liquid refrigerant through the system. The PCM may need to be reprogrammed.

The HVAC not blowing may be due to the A/C compressor belt jumping off the compressor. These are just suggestions, it is not a diagnosis. Your certified technician will be able to offer additional information after an inspection.

Is the audio/DVD system stock?

Louis, thanks, I'll do that. I figured the folks who looked at it at the dealership were certified and knew their stuff, but I'll take it back and make sure I get someone who is certified to work on the truck. My audio system is actually a Pioneer Avic D3, so I believe it's not stock, but I bought the truck used so I'm not sure. Wherever the problem lies with that, it also controls my backup camera, which no longer functions either.
