Does anyone know who or where sells a c clip eliminator kit for the rear end in a 08 tahoe? I have an 08 4wd tahoe ltz and I recently just put a full spool in it. I know the calipers hold the axle shafts in for the most part but I'd like to get a c clip eliminator kit if there is one

Moser and Strange make them. They are not specific if memory serves but fit the tubes, requires cutting and welding and such. There are videos on Youtube of guys doing it with 14-Bolt semi-floaters which have the same tubes as your 10-bolt. Lawrence "LT" Tolman did a good video on one of his drag trucks a few years ago, as did a guy with an S10 on wide slicks.

You going drag racing full time with that truck now?

No it's actually still my daily. I know a full spool in a daily isn't yhe greatest idea but **** it why not lol. I'm not building it to go fast, I take it off road and enter the truck pulls and what not. I've got the stage 2btr truck cam, high pressure oil pump, .660 springs, ported and polished 243 heads, and now the spool

Won't that bust the carrier over time from all the stress of not giving way while turning? A sled pull is on my bucket list, going to put a larger axle in with 3.73 gears. Your setup sounds like fun. Have you run her at the drags to see how much power she puts down?

There isn't a carrier anymore, the full spool bolts right to the ring gear. Unless you are talking about the axle housing which I doubt u are. My local town fair has a sled pull ever year. That's what I'm running 3.73 gears. I love it so far, besides the fact it absolutely destroys tires. And have not had it an the strip, just playing around in town.

Back in the 80s I bought a back halfed Pro Street 69 Camaro with a spooled Dana60. It was horrible on the street. ASAP swapped it for a posi.

That's what was in it before I put the spool in. The only real complaints I have on the spool so far is having to rely on the brake calipers to keep the axle shafts in and how it it's thru my tires.

I did mean carrier but was wrong. I still can't think how that will hold up in such a heavy truck. I had friends with 3-4K pound cars who broke them driving on the street way back when, with the same 10-bolt 8.5" axle. Anyhow, cool beans!

We run our trucks at the drags to measure performance of the mods we do.
