hey everybody my first post here. I just bought a z71 Tahoe with the black leather seats with the silver racing stripeon them and the 3rd row seat is missing. Any help as to where I could get one? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Twice I got them from ebay. Twice I've returned them. They tend to take a beating in shipping. Also, some people will sell them when they start having problems with them. I would suggest buying them locally thru craigslist. That way you can see them function before you lay out your cash. Just my experience, your mileage may vary.

I looked for several months in multiple locations before scoring a set of a forum member here. My best guidance for you is pay up when you find one because they are hard to come by.

Yes, they can be hard to come across. Not to mention way over priced these days. If there's a member close by that would probably be the best option. With ebay though you have a strong return policy to back you up, it's just just hassle with all the waiting. I'm done looking for them right now.

I got a set in texas for 375 on craigs. They were in good shape until I had to take them apart to get them shipped up to AK but they work fine other than the plastic shielding is a bit messed up but nothing I cant deal with.

Nice! Trim is not a problem. I wonder why they are so expensive though for our model years compared to prior and newer generations?

I have two like new (tan) leather ones I'd like to get rid of but, I doubt you'd want to pay the shipping charges associated with getting them to you from Alabama. Not to mention, they wouldn't match. But, I do have them, and do want to get rid of them.

i think the price has to do with the supply and demand. People want them so someone started with the price high and it must have just stayed. I wouldn't say these things are worth more than 100 a piece but like i said people are buying them at 400+ so people will keep selling them at that. Plus theres a big thing with 3rd row seats benches and the 50/50 seats getting stollen. My sisters bench was stolen out of her Burb. They pop the window really easy and pull the seat out the back some how.
