09 Tahoe Roof Rack removal

i just removed the cross bars... looks better to me, cuts down wind resistance... i will never put anything up there anyway...

As KMeloney knows I searched and found a molding that mimics the profile of the ribs on the roof panel, it comes with 4 tapered ends and a length of molding(I forget how long) Kirk has all the info and a piece of the molding. You can get it at a Paint & Body supply store it is made by ProStripe. I removed my rack, siliconed the holes, and put this molding on to clean up the look...I like it alot(been like this since '06) and can go back to the stock rack if need be.

Just another alternative..........I surrounded the holes in silicone and put plastic X-mas tree type plugs into them. Worked well for me, 20 mins and no body work and no leaks.

hey intruckdesign did you purchase the molding online or at a local store this looks like a cool modd to do?
