well my truck is white and thought it would look funny have black molding up top, so i removed my rack and got some 6mmx1.5x1 inch long (i think...same threading as stock) short bolts, some 009 o-rings, teflon tape, and stock color touch up paint/clearcoat. i milled about .150 thousandths off the bolt heads so they were not so noticeable. it all came out pretty well. but then my co-worker,who helped me, suggested that i could always go with some set screws in which that would prob. work out well too and not have a bolt head at all. just another option besides moldings.

Thanks, InTruck! That's what I was referencing, of course. (And thanks for all of your help with this previously.)

2elo -- You're left with 5 threaded sleeves (per side) sunk into the roof of the truck when you remove the roof rack. If you don't insert something back in those holes/cover the holes, then you run the risk of water running into those holes and into your headliner. InTruck has covered his with a molding. I think it looks awesome.

So far, I think the Corolla body side moulding is what that is..? I couldn't find it on Prostripe at all. Gee are they proud of that stuff or what? Cheapest I can find is 70 bucks for the two 7' lengths with tapered ends. It could be worse I guess.
