I'd like to uprgrade my factory sub but not break the bank. Has anyone modified their stock 8" sub enclosure so it would hold a 10"?
Thanks

is not possible to fit a 10 inch on the stock 8 inch sub enclousure.. plus it will sound like shit.. the enclousure is made from plastic and its made especifically for the 8" adding a 10" will cause alot of flexing on the plastic and rattle and will distort your bass...

you can choose between these..

if you have a box for the ten just do what I did pull the plastic cover off off the stock sub un plug it tap in to the wires that send it signal then plug that in to your 10" replace cover enjoy more boom.

Thanks. Yeah, what I decided to do was not bother trying to mess with the factory enclosure, the money I would spend on an aftermarket amp and 8" sub really won't add much, for not much more I can get a 10", better amp, and generic box and just set it in the cargo area, It'll give me much more boom for my buck.
