looking at the diagram it looks like it is only feeding the amp 4 channels and then lets the amp split it up with only left/right, no fade and no seperate bass level control
so.....
check your speakers and verify if they work or not.

was the factory radio harness still intact? or was it chopped off?

Fixed it. The HU sounds good with input but the radio sucks. I think it will be upgraded to a better model. Now that I know it's an easy modification to fit deeper units in, it expands the availability greatly. Thanks everyone.
