110,000 mile service

I just spent a shiiit load of money. At least $8k, probably more.
New tires / wheels
Hoses / coolant. and I mean all hoses.
O2 sensors
Shocks / compressor / struts.
Plugs / wires
Oil pressure sensor
Oil lines, tranny lines.
Probably other stuff I forgot.

Figure it's a good investment if I get another 50,000 miles out of the truck. But the interiors fall apart 1st.

It's hard to remember. I brought factory 18's off ebay, and sent them out for a refinish. The roads around here, and the 22" wheels don't go well together. All 4 were bent. Actually 5 were bent, as I had to replace one mid winter.

$8k seems a little excessive unless the rims/tires were $6k

Even if you had an urban dealer do the work, $8K seem pretty steep for what you listed. I am thinking you forgot a few things.

On the wheels, was there a reason you bought used on eBay and had them refurbished? A few sellers offer refurb OEM wheels for like $150/ea in the 17" and 18" versions.

Anyway, when I do the math, I always conclude it is far cheaper to keep and repair (even at dealer rates), than suffer the annual depreciation on newer models.

I should have stated all work was given out. So I paid for all labor. The oil pressure sensor, my local mechanic didn't want to get involved with. So it went to the dealer for that. He wanted to take off the intake manifold, and the hood. I said, no thanks, I'll give the dealer $650 for the screen & sensor.

and that's with a brand new gm block!

Take off the hood? To get the intake manifold off?? [emoji23][emoji1787][emoji23] Last time I removed the manifold it was out in less than 30 minutes. It’s not like these things are Ferrari’s where there’s only a few of them around.

Wow! You can easily get to 200K without doing most of that. Alternator & heater hoses/fittings at 150K and you're good. Oil lines? What oil lines?
