13' Tahoe air conditioner problems

Over the summer of 2016 i started to notice what looked like "white smoke" coming out of one of my vents and then a few weeks later my air conditioner quit blowing cold air. I took it to the dealer and they couldn't find any leaks, but all the freon was gone. They told me the "white smoke" was dust, charged me $200 to fill the freon and that was it. It stayed cold for the month we had left of summer, but my husband and I both noticed the "white smoke" or the freon coming out of the one vent again. We went into winter so up until yesterday I hadn't had to run it, but I turned it on because we have had a couple of warm days and it's not working again. I am hesitant to take it to the dealer because they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it, has anyone else had these issues? I don't even have 100k on it and it's not under warranty.

I think the dealer is smoking something white. You might want To go back and pitch a fit. Or try another place. If the system was empty it's got a leak.

Since you are out of warranty you might want to find a real good independent mechanic..In my neck of the woods that is the best way as most A/C places are out to rip you off big time.
