Hey modded, I ordered my havoc today. FYI, there's like a 2-3 week waiting period while they build it. And I read in another forum where people waited four months for theirs but they were in Hawaii. I got the number to a call dealer and at the end he asked me how many I wanted and I said "just one." I texted him my number and never heard back from him. I looked him up on Google and if turns out he's like a 4 time world champion in bass contest. He has 16 12s in his truck and like 16 batteries and all kinds of crazy stuff. He smashed his windshield in one contest last year. its on YouTube. He probably heard "one" 12 and laughed and said forget that, not worth my time. Probably thought I was going to order a bunch. There's not many dealers out there and AA is hard to reach. I'm surprised I even reached them and was able to get a number to a couple local dealers. I fried calling and emailing for weeks now. Anyways I have a feeling I won't hear from him again b/c he won't answer my text. LOL oh well, at least I tried. I kinda wish I didn't kill the deal for the used one now.

Have you looked at caraudio.com? It's a forum like this but for car audio. Some are biased but if you tell them what you are looking for they can help you out. That's where I went for my questions.

I'm not surpirsed Drew. These days, people don't realize business is business. One sub, or fifty. I tried to contact Ascendant directly and have not got an e-mail back. I did get an email back from one guy who quoted me $630 shipped for the 18" D1.
I am not going to even bother responding to his attempted rip off. I saw on the SSA website that it is $470 shipped for the exact same sub.
Either way, I want a new one (so I know it works and have a warranty) so I guess it will cost a good coin. If you don't mind, can you PM me how much you paid for the one you got so I can figure out whether there are people with better deals than SSA? I don't want to pay more than $420 shipped for it.

Also KC, I have looked at the CarAudio website. That's one of the places that helped me decide on the Havoc.

I honestly didn't read through the entire thread, but from what i read on the first and last page, you decided on the havoc. These are great subs, but i would watch the amount of power you throw at it depending on your enclosure. If your mind is not completely set on the havoc, i would suggest the sundown audio z series, or the ssa xcon both of those subs are geared toward more of an sql which seems to be what your looking for.

So I am assuming the Havoc can't handle much power? I am an SQL guy and was going to feed it 1500 watts.
I was looking the Xcons before and then switched to the Havocs, thinking it was a better decision. Guess I will be switching away from it now. I will go and tak a look at the Z series now.

I am going to be using the Rockford T1000 BDcp. It pushes 1450 watts RMS or more at 2 ohms.

a DC Lvl 3 or lvl 4 would be a nice match.

or a AA Havoc

Yes a single 15 or 18. I was going to go DC but I am leaning towards the Havoc now.
I won't be at the Texas Showdown due to a conflicting schedule.
